As someone who’s been in law-enforcement for over 11 years, I think the book and the author offer valuable tips help you succeed throughout your career.If I were in the beginning stages of getting hired or a new officer, I definitely recommend this book.
As a current LEO this book is an easy read and I would recommend this to aspiring LEO and current. It's not a book of war stories or overly motivational speeches but more of a guide / checklist.
What sets this book apart is its honest depiction of life as a rookie officer. Each chapter is packed with useful tips, not just for newcomers but also as helpful reminders for seasoned professionals.
Although I am not a rookie anymore, this book was an amazing read. I enjoyed how it walks you through the process of getting hired and what to expect throughout the academy and the phase training process. I enjoyed how the author talked about his personal experiences and how to navigate through the job. I'll be buying this for my squad as well to read.
